Marina Manager

The Marina Manger must be good with managing people and balancing work loads. The duties include maintaining the landscaping of the campground, (mowing, weed eating, pulling weeds and spraying weeds), maintaining the boat slips, moving the courtesy dock up or down, troubleshooting any problems that arise and informing management of any help that might be needed to fix problems that cannot be fixed by the Marina Manager. Other routine duties include scheduling toilet vaults to be pumped, garbage to be picked up, sanitizing and testing the water for EPA compliance, daily cleaning of outhouses/shower house and sites – usually broken up into sections per host couple, and compliance checking. The Marina Manager also makes sure that all host paperwork is turned in to the main office on time and takes deposits into town on a weekly basis.

Work hours per week are on a comp time basis; if one week is very busy, take time off the next week to make up for the extra hours worked. The host is not required to be in the campground 24 hours a day; you are free to set your own work schedule and may fish, hike, go to town, sleep or otherwise conduct your own business as you wish. On scheduled days off you are free – be sure to take regular time off away from customers each week so that you can refresh yourself and be able to better handle the pressures laid on you from the camping public.
